Leena was born with an innate passion for all forms of art. As a child growing up in New York City she was exposed to an abundance of creativity. She dabbled in drawing and fantasy art and also took acting classes for many years. Leena is a trained vocalist and attended the prestigious LaGuardia "Fame" School in Manhattan. She worked as a professional singer performing at weddings, corporate events and also toured Italy with a choir. But it wasn't until 2004 that Leena discovered her true calling - Middle Eastern Dance. She has studied with New York's master instructors including Yousry & Nourhan Sharif, Ranya Renee, and Gamila El Masri. Leena travels often to take part in seminars with international legends such as Raqia Hassan, Dina, Mamoud Reda, Randa Kamel,Momo Kadous, Aida Nour, and Tito Seif.
Leena performs regularly in New York City and throughout the tristate area.
